How do I join this program?
After you register and pay the one-time fee, you will receive an email from our team with information on links and access to our live and recorded offerings. There may be a delay in receiving a confirmation email (up to a few days). Please do not register or pay again if you do not receive a conformation immediately.
How much is the program?
There is a one-time, non-refundable fee of $29.99 to obtain a 6-month subscription to the program. Regardless of when you register, you will have access to our library of past recorded offerings, as well as access to upcoming live offerings. After you register and pay, you will be contacted with registration instructions.
Is there a deadline to apply for the program?
No. You can apply any time and watch any of our recorded lectures. You only register ONCE. If you are thinking about registering, we recommend timing your registration at least one week before a scheduled live session to ensure your registration and processing is complete and you can join the live session without hiccups. If you already registered for the program, you DO NOT need to register again for each session.
Every month one or two interpersonal skills and competencies will be integrated into the presentation. We keep the medical content a surprise until the session to challenge our learners. Below are the monthly competencies.

What platform do you use for your sessions?
We have partnered with CareerCert as our learning management system provider and with GoToWebinar as the webinar app. We recommend downloading the app and using a tablet, laptop, or PC to ensure maximum use of the software! There is a technical FAQ available at the beginning of every session to ensure you enjoy all the cool features of the platform!
What is the program structure?
Every first Thursday of the month there will be a recorded patient encounter featuring the core competencies for the session. The scenario will also involve a clinical competency. There will be "rapid-fire" clinical cases to give exposure to clinical medicine, and a robust Q&A session featuring our clinician faculty, an option to ask your questions live (if your question is chosen), and a real-time chat Q&A! Additional sessions will be scheduled.
How are the sessions delivered virtually?
UT Southwestern has partnered with a third-party learning management system through which students will be able to participate in live and pre-recorded offerings, track attendance, and generate completion certificates.
How long is each session and how long will the program run?
Each session is between 1 hour and 1.5 hours. There will be 1-2 sessions per month. We expect the program to run 6 months and then we will re-examine the need for more offerings.
Can I share my subscription with a friend?
No, each student will have their own account on the learning management system. The system will generate completion certificates only for the verified user. We work on an honor system. Please respect our decision.
Can I receive a letter of recommendation through this program?
Unfortunately, we cannot honor that request.
Will there be assessments associated with these sessions?
Yes, to receive a completion certificate, students shall complete a brief, targeted assessment in the form of a quiz, which will be available at CareerCert after the session and is only available for registered users.
